The Bridgeport noon meeting held at the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church was started by Chuck P. and Will M. in August 1991 until April of 1993. It was a respected and well attended meeting. Scottdale New and Old Timers meeting opened our doors on August 26,1993 at the Calvin United Methodist Presbyterian Church. We were provided both literature and moral support from the Bridgeport meeting. The original homegroup members were Carl L, Randy T, Chuck P, Will M, Bill K, and Brook G. Our longest current homegroup member is Randy H. who joined the group in 1994. Today our group continues to grow, and our members are involved in many levels of service work. It is humility and gratitude that we are committed to serve AA's primary purpose; "to carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic." We would like to thank all those involved for their support over the years. In closing we would like to express our gratitude to Calvin United Methodist Presbyterian Church for allowing us the opportunity to carry AA's life-saving message. Fellowship begins around 7:00pm both inside and outside the church. The meeting begins at 7:30pm and is an open discussion meeting with a speaker meeting on the 3rd Thursday of the month. We welcome you to come and join us.
As you can see below, there is a parking lot one block southeast of the church, and also plenty of on street parking. Looking at the front of the church from Mulberry St. there is a red door to the far left.
